The SECOM My Spoon is a meal-assistance robot that lifts food from a tray to the user's mouth, so a carer does not have to feed each mouthful. It handles almost all everyday foods and needs no special meal packs. The controller can be swapped to match the user's movement. The base unit weighs 6 kg and stores at 28 x 37 x 25 cm.
For people with upper-limb impairment who can sit upright, chew and swallow safely and understand how to operate the controller. The maker does not recommend it for users with swallowing difficulty or impaired vision.
