How we choose and check products
Where the facts come from
Every product page links to its source page: the page of the maker or of a retailer where the facts were read. Texts on this site are written in our own words from those facts. Photos are not copied: 653 product pages link to a photo on the source site, with a credit line, and the rest show a placeholder.
The check of 5 October 2026
Each of the 752 product cards was compared with its source page. 709 matched, 39 were corrected to match, and 4 could not be checked because the link showed another page or did not load. Each product page says which of the three applies, under the specification table.
Where a source page disagrees with itself, for example two different weight limits, the card states both figures. In the Figures for comparing box and in the filters, the lower limit is used.
What the check does not guarantee
Matches the source page means that nothing on the source page contradicted the card on that date. It does not mean that every figure was confirmed: many source pages do not show every figure, and makers change specifications, prices and stock. Weight limits, sizes and compatibility are confirmed with the maker when we prepare your quote, and you should not rely on a catalog page alone for a safety-relevant figure.
Maker country is the home country of the brand as generally known. It is not always stated on the source page and does not always mean the product is made there.
Uniform figures and collections
Weight, maximum user weight, range, speed and wheel size are converted to the same units on every page so that products can be compared and filtered. A product appears in a filter or a collection only if its source states the figure.
Blog articles and brand texts
Articles list their sources at the end. Brand descriptions are written from the maker’s own pages and public references. Neither is sponsored.
Found a mistake
Tell us through the enquiry form with the catalog ID shown on the page, for example MW-012, and we correct the entry.
