The Blatchford SuperSACH prosthetic foot is a solid-ankle cushioned-heel design for people who walk at low activity levels. It has no moving ankle joint. A screw adjusts the firmness of the heel cushion, and the keel is kept light, giving a component weight of 449 g. The foot can be submerged to a depth of 1 m, so it may be worn in the shower.
For lower-limb amputees with low activity, including older users who mainly walk indoors or for short distances and value low weight. The foot is selected, fitted and aligned by a prosthetist as part of a complete prosthesis.
This kind of device is prescribed and fitted by a clinician. An enquiry starts that conversation. It is not a purchase.
