Prosthetic feet and ankles

Last updated: 5 October 2026 · Total: 20 products

The foot sets how a prosthetic leg lands, rolls over and pushes off. SACH feet such as the Blatchford SuperSACH have a solid ankle and a cushioned heel, with no moving parts. Dynamic carbon feet, including the Össur Pro-Flex LP and the Ottobock Triton side flex, bend under load and return part of that energy at toe-off. Hydraulic ankles let the foot adapt to slopes, and microprocessor ankles adjust that movement with sensors. Running blades are for sport only, and waterproof feet are built for showers, pools and beaches. Final selection and alignment belong to your prosthetist.

How to choose

  • Match the foot category to your body weight and activity level, as stiffness is ordered on that basis.
  • Measure the build height available below your socket, because long residual limbs rule out taller feet.
  • Think about the surfaces you walk on, since slopes and uneven ground favour an ankle that moves.
  • Confirm heel height adjustment if you switch between flat shoes, boots and barefoot.

Common questions

What is a SACH foot?

SACH stands for solid ankle cushion heel. It is a simple prosthetic foot with a rigid keel and a compressible heel wedge that softens heel strike. It is durable and light, and suits lower activity levels.

Can you walk on a running blade every day?

Running blades are designed for running and sprinting. They have no heel and are set up differently, so they are uncomfortable and unstable for standing and walking. Most users keep a separate everyday foot.
