Point Designs Point Digit Ratcheting Prosthetic Finger

Last updated: 5 October 2026

The Point Designs Point Digit is a ratcheting mechanical prosthetic finger that the wearer positions with the other hand or by pressing it against a surface. Its heavy-duty ratchet then holds the position with no muscle effort. Six stock sizes measure 80 to 105 mm from the knuckle joint centre to the fingertip. Parts are titanium, brass and stainless steel, so the finger resists corrosion and can be washed.

Who the Point Designs Point Digit suits

For people who have lost one or more fingers at or near the knuckle and want a strong, simple finger for manual work, with no battery. A prosthetist builds it into a custom partial-hand socket.

This kind of device is prescribed and fitted by a clinician. An enquiry starts that conversation. It is not a purchase.
