About Fillauer

Fillauer is an orthotics and prosthetics manufacturer that traces its origin to 1914, when George Fillauer Sr., a German immigrant, started the business at the Red Cross Pharmacy in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The company makes prosthetic hands, hooks, feet and knees, upper limb and spinal orthoses, and fabrication equipment and supplies for clinics. Its own history page states that Hanger, Inc. acquired Fillauer in 2024 and that Fillauer continues to operate under its existing brand and leadership.

The catalog lists four Fillauer products across prosthetic feet, stance-control orthoses and conventional orthoses: the Obsidian Sprint running foot, the AllPro XTS foot, the Swing Phase Lock 2 (SPL2) knee joint for KAFOs, and the custom-made Dynamic Walk ankle-foot orthosis. These products reach users through prosthetists and orthotists, who assess, order and fit them. The Dynamic Walk in this listing is custom-made for the individual user. When asking for a quote, expect to be referred to a clinician.
