Nabtesco · Microprocessor knees · PR-037
The Nabtesco ALLUX2 is a microprocessor knee that keeps a four-bar polycentric linkage and adds adaptive hydraulic control of swing and stance. The linkage gives extra toe clearance and lets the knee fold to 180 degrees. It weighs 1.51 kg and runs about four days at 5,000 steps a day. The kit includes a charger, AC adapter and backup battery. WillowWood distributes it in the USA.
For transfemoral users at K2 to K4, up to 275 lb, who like the ground clearance of a polycentric knee and want electronic stance control with it. A prosthetist programmes it over Bluetooth.
This kind of device is prescribed and fitted by a clinician. An enquiry starts that conversation. It is not a purchase.
