Bionic Power · Pediatric exoskeletons · EX-022
The Bionic Power Agilik powered knee orthosis is a light bilateral device that helps the knees extend, made to address crouch gait in children. It supplies 12 Nm at each knee and weighs 2.2 kg for both legs with all electronics. It can either assist the muscles or resist them for strength work, and it is worn with a custom-moulded knee-ankle-foot orthosis. Users must be under 70 kg and over five years old.
Agilik suits children and small adults under 70 kg, aged five or older, with cerebral palsy at GMFCS levels 1-3, spina bifida or weak knee extension, in the clinic and at home. A clinician provides the custom orthosis it mounts on and sets up the device.
This kind of device is prescribed and fitted by a clinician. An enquiry starts that conversation. It is not a purchase.

Crouch gait is walking with the knees bent. Agilik applies up to 12 Nm of powered knee extension during walking. It is an aid used within therapy, not a cure.
Users over five years old and under 70 kg. For cerebral palsy the listed range is GMFCS levels 1-3. The child must be able to follow a physiotherapist's requests.
About 2.2 kg, slightly under 5 lb, worn across both legs including all electronics. It attaches to a custom-moulded knee-ankle-foot orthosis.

A few powered exoskeletons are cleared for use at home, mostly for spinal cord injury, on prescription and with a trained companion. Most others stay in clinics.
