Bioservo · Robotic gloves and hand exoskeletons · EX-041
The Bioservo Carbonhand soft robotic glove strengthens the wearer's grip. Pressure sensors in the glove notice when a grip begins, and electric motors pull artificial tendons to add force in proportion to how hard the wearer squeezes. A small power unit is carried on the back or waist or fixed to a wheelchair. The Swedish maker offers five sizes for each hand and an app for saving assistance profiles.
Carbonhand suits people with a weak grip from spinal cord injury, ALS, MS, stroke, nerve or orthopaedic injury or rheumatic disease, for holding and carrying in daily tasks. The wearer must be able to start a grip. Fitting and size selection are done with a clinician.
This kind of device is prescribed and fitted by a clinician. An enquiry starts that conversation. It is not a purchase.

Yes. The power unit can be mounted on a wheelchair, or worn on the back or at the waist.
Pressure sensors detect the grip you apply and the motors add force in proportion, so a harder squeeze gets more assistance. Levels can be tuned in the app.
Five sizes, each available for the right and the left hand.

A few powered exoskeletons are cleared for use at home, mostly for spinal cord injury, on prescription and with a trained companion. Most others stay in clinics.
