Fillauer TRS Lite Touch Children's Biomechanical Hands are body-powered prosthetic hands that close when the child pulls the cable. Fingers and palm are a flexible polymer with the look of a hand moulded in, so no glove goes over the top. Four sizes run from micro to large, in three skin colours, and the micro can be set up closed and passive before a cable is added.
Suits children getting a first body-powered prosthesis who want something hand-shaped. TRS rates it for light to medium duty: it is not for rough use and cannot take full body weight. A pediatric prosthetist chooses the size.
This kind of device is prescribed and fitted by a clinician. An enquiry starts that conversation. It is not a purchase.
