Fillauer is a United States maker of orthotic and prosthetic devices. Its website says the business was started in 1914 by George Fillauer Sr., is based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and was acquired by Hanger, Inc. in 2024. TRS Inc., which makes activity-specific devices for people missing one or both hands, was acquired by Fillauer in 2019. The wider range includes upper and lower limb prosthetics, orthotics, myoelectric and body-powered components and fabrication supplies.
The catalog lists the TRS range under upper limb and pediatric prosthetics. Examples are the Grip 5 Evolution Prehensor, the Lite Touch Adult Hand, the Black Iron Master for weight training, the Guitar Pick Adapter and the Freestyle Swimming Device. Terminal devices attach to a prosthesis made by a prosthetist, who also sets up the harness and cable for body-powered models. Before asking for a quote, confirm with your clinician the size, the side and the wrist connection that your prosthesis uses.
