Saebo · Dynamic (non-powered) hand orthoses · EX-050
The Saebo SaeboFlex dynamic hand orthosis is a custom-fitted outrigger splint that holds the wrist and fingers in extension. The wearer bends the fingers to grasp, and extension springs pull the hand open again once the fingers relax. Springs come in several grades so that a therapist can match the pull to the level of spasticity. Digit caps, finger lead mounts in various sizes and an adjustable thumb system complete the fit.
SaeboFlex suits people with moderate to severe hand weakness and spasticity after stroke, brain or spinal cord injury who keep some shoulder, elbow and finger-bending movement. It must be sized and fitted by a qualified clinician trained by Saebo.
This kind of device is prescribed and fitted by a clinician. An enquiry starts that conversation. It is not a purchase.

A few powered exoskeletons are cleared for use at home, mostly for spinal cord injury, on prescription and with a trained companion. Most others stay in clinics.
