Ekso Bionics · Clinical / rehabilitation gait exoskeletons · EX-007
The Ekso Bionics EksoNR is a rehabilitation exoskeleton that therapists use to get patients standing and stepping early in neurological recovery. It weighs about 55 lb with batteries and carries that weight itself, not on the patient. GaitCoach software flags gait deviations as they happen and lets the therapist change swing and stance assistance in real time. Each session's walking time, distance and speed are recorded automatically.
Built for inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation centres treating adults after stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury or with multiple sclerosis. It is not available for home use, and every session is led by a trained therapist.
This kind of device is prescribed and fitted by a clinician. An enquiry starts that conversation. It is not a purchase.

A few powered exoskeletons are cleared for use at home, mostly for spinal cord injury, on prescription and with a trained companion. Most others stay in clinics.
