Wandercraft · Self-balancing exoskeletons · EX-005
The Wandercraft Atalante X is a self-balancing rehabilitation exoskeleton for gait and balance therapy in clinics. Its 12 motors include a powered ankle, and it holds the patient upright without crutches, so therapists can work on stepping, weight shifting and turning. Assistance can be set differently for each side and joint. It is FDA cleared and CE marked, and is not a device for home use.
For rehabilitation clinics treating adults with hemiplegia, paraplegia or tetraplegia, including after stroke, spinal cord injury from C4 to L5 or multiple sclerosis. Patients must be 18 or older and able to tolerate standing. Sessions are run by trained clinicians.
This kind of device is prescribed and fitted by a clinician. An enquiry starts that conversation. It is not a purchase.

A few powered exoskeletons are cleared for use at home, mostly for spinal cord injury, on prescription and with a trained companion. Most others stay in clinics.
