About Mobility Atlas
What this is
Mobility Atlas is a catalog of mobility and assistive equipment from makers around the world: 752 products from 322 brands, from everyday wheelchairs and their spare parts to prosthetic components, orthoses, exoskeletons, hoists and ramps. It puts products that normally sit on hundreds of separate maker and dealer sites into one place, with the same structure on every page.
It was started by a wheelchair user who wanted to compare chairs, parts and devices without opening dozens of websites. She runs the catalog and answers enquiries herself.
What it is not
It is not a shop: there is no basket and no payment on the site. It is not a manufacturer, and it is not the official dealer of the brands listed unless a page says so. It is not a clinic: nothing here replaces an assessment by a therapist, prosthetist or physician.
How it earns money
The catalog is free to use. When you ask for a quote, the owner sources the product and resells it to you. The price you are quoted is the price you pay; a guide price on a product page is only what a maker or retailer showed publicly on the date given.
