Etac · Dressing aids · HL-013
The Etac Socky Short stocking aid is a flexible sleeve that holds a sock open while you slide your foot into it. Two cords, each 65 cm long, let you draw the sock up over the heel from a seated position, so you do not have to lean down to your feet. The sleeve measures 40 cm and is light and compact enough to carry in a bag.
A fit for people with reduced movement in the hands, shoulders, hips, knees or back who cannot comfortably reach their feet, including people with arthritis in the hands. It is useful at home for dressing without a helper.

No. You load the sock onto the sleeve on your lap, drop it to the floor, slide your foot in and pull the cords. The design cuts down the need to bend.
