About TiLite (Permobil)
TiLite is a line of manual wheelchairs sold by Permobil. Permobil's own company page states that the firm dates from 1967, when it was founded by Dr. Per Uddén, and that it is a wholly owned subsidiary of Investor AB. Permobil lists power wheelchairs, manual wheelchairs, seating and positioning products and power assist devices. On its site the TiLite Z is described as a lightweight aluminum rigid chair with a very large number of possible configurations.
The catalog lists three TiLite chairs under everyday manual and pediatric wheelchairs: the TiLite Z rigid chair, the TiLite 2GX folding chair and the TiLite Pilot for young children. These chairs are built to order from the user's measurements and chosen options, so a quote requires a completed specification covering seat size, frame geometry, back, wheels and casters.
