TiLite (Permobil) · Active pediatric · MW-040
The TiLite Pilot is a rigid wheelchair for young children, made by Permobil from aluminium with carbon fibre frame panels. The seat grows 2 in in width and 3 in in depth, within an overall range of 8 x 9 in to 14 x 15 in. The seat pan and side panels adjust without tools, and the frame shape leaves the rear wheels within a small child's reach.
For children from about age 2 who are ready to start pushing themselves. The short seat-to-footrest setting and small wheels suit very small bodies, and built-in growth delays the move to a larger chair.

Your first active chair comes down to three things: frame type, five measurements, and the people who help you get them right.

Rigid frames win on weight and push efficiency. Folding frames win on packing size. The gap is smaller than it used to be, so check real figures.

A few body measurements, a firm tape and a helper are enough to prepare for a wheelchair order. Here is how to take each one and what it becomes.
