The Empulse R90 is an under-seat wheelchair push assist: a motorised wheel that sits within the chair's footprint and does not stick out behind the rear wheels. It lifts clear of the ground when help is not wanted. The unit weighs 13 lb without a battery, is controlled wirelessly and assists up to an adjustable 5.5 mph.
For people who self-propel and want to take load off their shoulders, on rigid or folding chairs. The user limit is 275 lb, and the standard battery meets current rules for carrying on a plane.
