A drop of thread locker on clean threads cures into a plastic that resists this, and medium strength still lets the bolt be undone with hand tools. TLR-1 comes in a 10 mL bottle, is oil tolerant, and is listed for steel and aluminum threads. The maker does not recommend it for titanium threads and advises testing on painted surfaces first.
