When a neglected bearing fails, the balls and inner ring can drop out and leave the outer race jammed in the caster, fork, fork mount or rear hub. A normal puller has nothing to grip at that point. This kit holds three tools, one each for 608, R6 and R8 bearings, made to grab the remaining ring. The seller notes they are cut small, so they need a lot of pressure when tightened.
Suits repair workshops, wheelchair sports teams and experienced users who occasionally meet a collapsed bearing. It is a rescue tool for a specific fault and does not replace an ordinary puller for routine bearing changes.
