Küschall (Invacare) · Rigid-frame active / ultralight · MW-070
The Küschall KSL is a made-to-measure rigid ultralight wheelchair that the maker presents as the lightest chair in its range, at about 6.8 kg. Without rear wheels it weighs about 4.3 kg. The minimalist frame comes as a 75 or 90 degree V-frame or tapered version, and a fully welded option adds a built-in grab bar.
For very experienced active users who know their exact seating measurements and need little adjustment afterwards. It suits people up to 100 kg who lift the frame across their body into a car several times a day.

Approximately 6.8 kg ready to roll and about 4.3 kg as a transport weight with the rear wheels removed.
Only a little. It is made to measure with a rigid frame, so seat size and frame angle are fixed at order. Centre of gravity has five positions.

Your first active chair comes down to three things: frame type, five measurements, and the people who help you get them right.

Rigid frames win on weight and push efficiency. Folding frames win on packing size. The gap is smaller than it used to be, so check real figures.
